End it now! Together in response to GBV and HIV

A national conference to promote linking, learning and action on the state response to gender based violence (GBV), the interaction between HIV and GBV and the impact of GBV on young people. Organised by the AIDS Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) and Networking HIV & AIDS Community of Southern Africa (NACOSA) and funded by The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

AFSA and NACOSA invite you to join the learning and action of the End it now! Conference from 24-26 October 2017 in Johannesburg.

The Conference will promote learning and sharing and facilitate cross pollination of ideas, experiences, successes and challenges and information. It will address and link areas of focus and propose and analyse innovative models to improve understanding and approaches within the Gender Based Violence and HIV/AIDS response in South Africa; specifically focusing on:

  • The state’s response to GBV.
  • Reducing the vulnerability of victims of gender based violence to HIV/Aids
  • Understanding and addressing the vulnerability of adolescent and young people to HIV.

End it now! will include plenaries and key note addresses by experts in the field, breakaways and networking sessions to capture the complexities and nuances of the gender based violence sector. Exhibitions spaces will be available, offering a platform for organisations to showcase their programmes.
